Easter...Utah...Colors...n'such

Happy Easter!
For Easter weekend my mom and I made a trip up to Utah to visit my sister Margaret! We took my car which transforms nicely into a bed. It was actually quite comfortable!  One of the major reasons why I was visiting Margi was to go to the Holi Festival. It's a Hindu celebration where you throw colored chalk at each other. It starts bright  and fun, but by the end you can't breathe and have turned brown. It was still a whole lot of fun! We stayed at our house in Midway. It has an amazing view! I love it up there and the weather was great that weekend!

So, Happy Easter a bit late! I love this holiday. It reminds us of the Savior's sacrifice and His glorious Resurrection! What a wonderful thing it is to know that my Redeemer Lives! :)

xxBabyxxCrossxxStitchxx

I found a counted cross-stitch kit at DI for $1 and I loved it. It's my first real counted cross-stitch project. I finished it in like 2 weeks...probably a total of 10 hours. I am really getting into this craft. Thanks Faith and Holly! Cross-stitching is wonderful cause you get to watch your picture grow. Here is this last project growing.

My cousin Ryan and his wife Cherry just had a baby. His name is Rad and he is super cute. I thought that this project would be a perfect gift for him. He is adorable! We are friends!

In Utah

For part of Spring Break I visited my family in Utah! Here is baby Alex who is super-duper cute! She was playing with my favorite toy!
Here we are together. The flash kind of washed us out, but I still like the photo!
Margaret and I always have good times together and we always take silly pictures together. I went to classes with her and toured BYU. She goes to a large school. I spent the night at her apartment and didn't get any sleep. Still fun!
It also snowed and I had to shovel it! But I really didn't because it melted by the afternoon. A good thing did come from it: I have buff arms now!
We went to the Islamic art exhibit at BYU and saw some cool stuff. Here are the pictures I got before the security guard told me to stop...

It was awesome. It's always nice to relax and to get away from the world...and homework! I love going to Utah because it's all about family and relaxing. Oh and I learned how to play Dominion! Can I just say that I love that game...probably going to go purchase me a set!

Midway, Provo, & SLC

We went to Utah, celebrated Christmas with Alex and Tori and Jeff, visited Salt Lake, and just hung out in Midway. It was relaxing. I love our place in Midway (landscape pics are of Midway)! We saw the Christmas lights in SLC and went to the Church History Museum as well. It was a good trip!
Margi was mad that it wasn't a real tree. Silly.

Last Weekend! Posting Now!

So I am finally posting about my trip up to Utah. I went last week to visit my sister and to go to General Conference! We were in like the 13th row! So close, it was awesome. We got there late, but we made it! Here's our view! Apparently, if you arrive late, you get great seats! :)
We roamed Salt Lake for a bit after the session and before we went to lunch. There are so many beautiful flowers around Temple Square! I love the colors!
We went to the Lion House and the Joseph Smith building that use to be a hotel and look at all the cool famous people that stayed there! (I spy Jimmy Stewart and Elvis! :) Two favorites of mine!)
We stayed at my parents house in Midway and it has the best views and it was especially beautiful because the leaves were changing colors. (I love Fall and Fall colors!)
I also spent a lot of time with my two youngest, cutest nieces. Here is chubby Kayli!
And meet Alex (I did on the trip!) and she is so cute!
So much fun in Utah!
