Easter...Utah...Colors...n'such

Happy Easter!
For Easter weekend my mom and I made a trip up to Utah to visit my sister Margaret! We took my car which transforms nicely into a bed. It was actually quite comfortable!  One of the major reasons why I was visiting Margi was to go to the Holi Festival. It's a Hindu celebration where you throw colored chalk at each other. It starts bright  and fun, but by the end you can't breathe and have turned brown. It was still a whole lot of fun! We stayed at our house in Midway. It has an amazing view! I love it up there and the weather was great that weekend!

So, Happy Easter a bit late! I love this holiday. It reminds us of the Savior's sacrifice and His glorious Resurrection! What a wonderful thing it is to know that my Redeemer Lives! :)

Oklahoma!!!

There and back again!
 A Wade's tale!
So not last weekend but the one before, My family drove out to drop off my brother Mike and his family. It was a long drive and we only spent about a day in Oklahoma. A very quick trip for my parents and I. We calculated it and out of the 65 hours that was the trip, 48 of those were spent in the car driving. That's a lot of time! I spent a great deal of it sleeping when I wasn't driving. We left late Thursday evening and got to Oklahoma City late Friday night. We stayed with my cousin Michelle and her husband Mike! They were so nice to let us stay! The next morning we drove to Tulsa and unpacked! Thankfully, Mike and Jeani's ward came and helped unload. It made the job go quicker. My mom and I got to babysit Kayli one more time. She played a lot with Dot! When the job was done, we went to eat at Freebirds (I think it only exists in the Mid-West). It was yummy stuff. We then said goodbyes :( and my parents, Dot, and I drove home, getting to AZ Sunday afternoon. So you can see that it was a very quick trip.  It was fun even though it was so short and a lot of driving. We sang "Oklahoma" a lot and with every Wade trip there were a few misadventures and tender mercies along the way. (The truck broke down on the way there setting us back about 2-3 hours, but there was a gas station just a few miles ahead!) It was all good. It was sad saying goodbye, but my mom and I are already planning a trip out there in August. I will miss Mike and Jeani and my little tiny-person, Kayli Mae!! I love them and I hope they have a good time living in Tulsa!
Here are some photos (a lot of Kayli, including some older ones)

2. Get into a healthy BMI, I'm working on being more healthy. Daily workouts and watching what I eat.
3. Cook Lobster and cook more in general. I don't really enjoy cooking, but I want to change that, so if anyone has any great recipes or suggestions, let me know.
4. Visit Mexico again-I haven't been since high school and I miss it!
5. Go to Temple once a week, at least visit.
6. Spend time outside everyday (It's been freezing lately).
7. Practice the piano a lot more.
I can't wait to have another great year! Let's all make 2013 count! Live today!

Killers in Vegas

Went to Vega this last weekend to see the Killers in concert! It was awesome beyond belief! Guess who we met??? BRANDON FLOWERS!!!!! Ya it happened by total chance! He was walking through the lobby just a few minutes after we arrived! He's the lead singer for the Killers, FYI! :) (P.S. photos were taken on phones, not the best resolution.)
Here we are before the show started. Ashlee, myself, Margaret. The first opening band was actually really good, "Most Thieves". I bought their CD and we met some of the band members afterwards. Got their autographs!
And here he is! We were in the very front! Very close! It was dreamy!!!
Brandon and Ronny. Ronny became one of mine and Marg's favorites. Never stopped beating those drums!
We also went to Benihana's whilst we were in Vegas! It was yummy and entertaining!
It was a weekend I'll never forget! Thanks Ash for the photos, Marg hasn't sent me her's yet!

Metro: Washington DC edition!

So it's been awhile since I rode a metro, but I did today and I got lost. I was riding from my sister's in Virginia to my brother's in Maryland. And they said take the orange line all the way down and I did and I was in the wrong place. We figured out that there were two orange lines and I had gotten on the express one. Oops! It all worked out in the end.
There were more normal people than I'm used to. A lot of people use it to commute to work. Phoenix metro riders are weirdos and strange college students. Still miss it though.

Summer Love- 100th Post!!!

HAPPY 100TH POST!!! Whoever comments 1st wins a liter IV bag of normal saline!!! :)
So... Summer is great! It's one of my top 4 favorite seasons! There are just certain things that make it wonderful and here are the things I love about the season!
1) Food: lemonade, popsicles, ice cream, BBQ, corn on the cob, & watermelon!!! A lot of food, but most of the things in life that I love have to do with food.

2) 4th of July! Yay USA!!!

3) Swim Parties: a necessity in AZ

4) Traveling: I have already been to DC and Utah this summer!

5) No school: Now that I am no longer a student, but a graduate...it doesn't seem to big a deal. I do love that some of my family members are not in school.

Summer is great! HAGS everybody!!! :)
